FROM  "FROMMER'S PORTLAND", 6TH EDITION 2008, by Karl Samson

"No teddy bears, no frilly curtains, no potpourri--that's the mantra at this gorgeous little hideaway on a quiet residential street in northeast Portland.  Innkeeper Terry Rusinow, who once owned a craft gallery in the California Wine Country, has an impeccable eye for interior decor, so public spaces and guest rooms here are beautifully decorated.  This little homestay-style inn has only two rooms, and, at press time, was possibly adding a small sleeping cottage with a kitchenette.  When you stay in the main house, you almost feel as though you've rented the whole place.  Note that this is a no-smoking and perfume-free house, and there is a resident cat."

"Your home was comfortable and we really felt we were with family here.  Thanks for picking us up at the airport and for the great food and tips on what to do and where to go.  We loved it and will be back."  Vickie and Nancy

"Thank you for welcoming us into your home with such a warm heart.  It was great to live in a house as pleasant and cozy as yours while visiting this beautiful city.  You're at the top of our list of places to stay for our next stay in Portland. " Jake and  Mo.
