Located on a quiet, tree-lined street, the Everett Street Guesthouse is located near the Laurelhurst neighborhood, just 3 blocks north of Burnside Ave., between NE 22nd and NE 24th Ave. It is easily accessible to I-5 Interstate and Hwy 84, and only a 15 minute drive from the airport. The inn is walking distance to NE 28th Ave. which has some wonderful restaurants as well as shops, cafes, and a movie theater where it's only $3.00 to get in and serves pizza and beer. Public transportation is a short 3 block walk and it' s only a 6 minute drive to downtown. Try using our wonderful transportation system instead of renting a car. Laurelhurst Park is about a 1/2 mile away and is a beautiful, large park with duck pond and lots of areas to run, stroll, people watch, play tennis or just relax. Mt. Tabor is a short drive away, and has lots of hiking trails and magnificant views of the city. And of course Forest Park, the largest urban park in the country, is about a 15 minute drive with a myriad of hiking trails. There's a new Trader Joe's just a few miles away, Whole Food Market is walking distance, and there's QFC grocery that's open 24 hours.
GETTING TO EVERETT STREET GUESTHOUSE
You can take a taxi (about $35.00 each way) to my Inn or you can arrange to have me pick you up ($22.00 pick up, $20.00 drop off), rent a car at the airport or take Trimet (see below) which is about $2.00 each way, requires a transfer and takes about 40 minutes. For those who may wish to use public transportation for most of their trip but just rent a car for a day trip or two, there's an Enterprise Car Rental walking distance from the inn at NE 28th and Sandy Blvd. Their rates are generally pretty reasonable. If you're renting a car at the airport, drive time is about 15 minutes.
DIRECTIONS FROM PDX IF DRIVING:
Exit the airport, heading East and take a right at the first light which is NE 82nd Ave. for 2.1 miles to Sandy Blvd. Turn right on NE Sandy and travel 3.3 miles to NE 28th Ave. Turn left on NE 28th Ave. and go .3 miles to NE Everett St. Turn right on NE Everett and go .2 miles to 2306 NE Everett St. Note: There is no 23rd Ave. at Everett, so you'll pass NE 24th, then drive down to 2306 (3rd property on the left, large green home). There is no sign, just large numbers in the front of my house.

Public Transportation from the Airport:
Board the MAX redline at the airport that says "City Center & Beaverton". Get off at the Parkrose/Sumner TC Max Station. Walk south to Parkrose/Sumner Transit Center (stop ID 10850). Board the #12 bus to Sandy Blvd. Get off at NE Sandy & 20th Ave. Walk .02 mile southeast to 2306 NE Everett St. Travel time is 56 minutes including wait time and walking. You could also get off at the Hollywood Station and transfer to a bus going west on Sandy Blvd, getting off at NE 20th. Walk South on 20th to Everett, left on Everett up to 2306.
